60 marks total| Section | Questions | Marks | How it works |

| Objective — MCQs | 12 × 1 | 12 | One mark each, no choice. Definitions, units and formulas. |
| Short questions | 15 × 2 | 30 | Three questions of eight; attempt any five from each. |
| Long questions | 2 × 9 | 18 | Attempt two of three. Each is theory (4) plus a numerical (5). |
